Our Matthew is growing up to be quite a comical and handsome guy. He has a fetish for grabbing other dogs by the leash and "walking" them. He howls at the Macaw and they "sing together" and he is always doing something goofy to make us laugh.
Matt finished his championship at 7 months, so quickly it made my head spin! He went Best of breed over specials(mature champion dogs) to make a major, and went on to change that into a 5 point major by winning a group 1 on his first weekend showing. He also took two group ones from a.k.c. sanctioned matches, and a group one from the best puppy class. At ten months he won a best in specialty show at the prestigious Boston terrier club of New York, winning over top specials in the country, and at 11 months old completed his grand championship. Matthew continued to win another specialty show at the National specialties held in Reno Nevada hosted by the Golden gate Boston terrier club. The next day was presented an award of merit at the national specialty. To start off 2012 he won back to back New York specialties and the breed at Westminster, making him THE FIRST BOSTON IN HISTORY to accomplish this Triple crown win! Thank you to all the judges who were able to find Matt in every lovely line-up of dogs.
We are looking forward to his specials career in the U.S. and Europe.
Matt is also proving to be a producer of quality puppies. With currently 6 litters on the ground and many of the puppies in show homes, you should start seeing some of his babies in the ring. Watch for "Genie" Kayas Genetics Matter " who is owned by Kayas Bostons and will be shown starting in 2012.
